A female-friendly shortlist has been announced today for The 57th Ivor Novello Awards, due to be held in London on May 17th, 2012.

The Ivor Novello Awards celebrate, honour and reward excellence in songwriting and composing.  The Awards are highly regarded and sought after in the music industry, as they are presented and judged by the writing community.

The shortlist is as follows:
