Synth-laden, leftfield delights from @thisispolica ‘s debut album, ‘Give You the Ghost’

I’ve been listening to Polica’s debut album this week, ‘Give You the Ghost.’ (released April 30th, 2012)

The Minneapolis six-piece trade in synth-laden, leftfield R&B electro tracks; truly something for all tastes with this band.

I particularly like ‘Dark Star’, which is a pretty much self-explanatory indication of the stunning quality of the album.

Lead singer Channy Leaneagh has just the style and tone of vocals that I enjoy listening to most. I am having a bit of a love affair at the moment with Alejandra Deheza (of School of Seven Bells) and Collette Thurlow (of 2:54). Not literally.
